False Invoicing

Supplier fraud can occur during the invoicing stage of the procurement process. It could be in the form of a false or duplicate invoice, or an invoice that contains prices exceeding the agreed contract rates. It could overcharge per unit or include hidden costs such as administration or delivery charges.

This type of fraud can cost businesses dearly. Training staff to recognise false invoices protects the company’s assets and reputation.
