The Importance of Environmental Awareness Training

Climate change is a growing international crisis and the sustainability of businesses is in the spotlight like never before. Consumers are increasingly taking the green credentials of the companies they buy from into account when they make their purchasing decisions. Protecting the environment is a vital duty all organisations share.

If you have any questions that are not covered here, please get in touch.

Businesses can protect the environment by becoming more aware of their environmental impact and assessing their processes accordingly. Many organisations can have a major impact by reducing waste, increasing their recycling efforts and reconsidering the frequency of business travel, using video conferencing and other technology to make in-person trips less common.

Environmental sustainability is very important for all businesses. As well as the ethical considerations of protecting the environment and the goodwill from consumers who increasingly value “green” and responsible businesses, sustainability makes good business sense. It can deliver large savings in key areas to organisations that embrace it.

Having home working policies can help businesses lower their environmental impact by reducing commuting, as well as the heating and upkeep of a central office building. Spread over an entire company, this environmental benefit can add up considerably. It is however important to remember home workers will have to heat their own houses.
