This module is based on the typical performance management cycle and looks at performance planning, monitoring and supporting performance, and performance review meetings. This module is designed to introduce the learner to the core skills needed to manage performance and provide information on where to find additional support.

The role of the line manager is to support their employees through performance management activities as well as offer feedback on performance and coach them where needed. The course concludes with the Check Your Understanding module which includes a short quiz where learners are tested on their knowledge and understanding. Learners will need to answer 80% of the questions correctly to pass the course. Learners will receive a certificate of completion on successfully completing the course. Learners can take the assessment again to improve their score.
